US Bettors Are Preparing To Bet On The 2019 Academy Awards

Oscar-awards-betting-lines

Sportsbooks are rolling out betting lines for the 2019 Oscar ceremonies like it is the reincarnation of the Super Bowl.

The Oscars is set to air on Sunday, February 24th on ABC  and will feature all of today’s top stars and rising young actors and actresses. The Acadamy Awards ceremony has been ongoing for 91 years now and awards the best actors and actresses of the year. This year is a little different now that domestic sportsbooks can legally offer betting lines on the Acadamy Awards.

In 2018, the Supreme Court of the United States repealed the PASPA act and gave states the right to enact their own state laws concerning domestic sports betting. New Jersey led the push and since the case went in their favor, several other states have elected to allow domestic sports betting.

Now there are seven states that offer domestic sports betting services; Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, West Virginia, Delaware, and New Mexico. Other states have the option of online sportsbooks that service their area.

Many Americans still don’t have access to domestic sportsbooks and are left with the only other viable option. Since state-based sportsbooks are not allowed to accept bets across state lines according to the Federal Wire Act, many Americans will have to take their chance with online sportsbooks. Online sportsbooks number one perk is their convenience followed by their bonus options.

Below you will find betting lines for the 2019 Acadamy Awards provided by the Bovada Sportsbook. Bovada is one of our favorite online sportsbooks because they do offer betting lines for so many different events including sports, politics, eSports, and more.

Take a look at some of the betting lines below and see if you can predict the outcomes. If you are familiar with the US entertainment industry then you should be able to pick some winners.
